Bespoke precision engineering solutions

Tenon Engineering was founded in the 1970s and from it’s manufacturing base in Dorking, Surrey, provides bespoke precision engineering solutions for its customers in global markets.

Tenon was an early entrant into the manufacture of rheology instrumentation over 25 years ago. Meeting the demanding specifications required for these types of complex equipment established Tenon as a leading precision manufacturing company. Partnerships that were formed in those early years continue to this day and Tenon’s longstanding relationships with its customers are testimony to its exceptional and reliable engineering expertise and services.

Tenon’s quality ethos is ingrained through many years of development and experience in a very unforgiving industry. Its investment in people, equipment and systems allow the highly skilled team to consistently meet and exceed customers’ expectations.

In-house manufacturing

Tenon’s extensive, in-house manufacturing resources include assembly, multi-axis machining, cylindrical grinding, precision sheet metal fabrication and coil winding alongside electrical motor manufacture. Engineering resources cover mechanical, electrical and firmware design, production engineering and analytical reverse engineering.

Tenon has a broad overview and hands-on experience in a wide range of engineering disciplines and can integrate these for the benefit of its customers to provide end-to-end solutions.

A controlled and robust process of design and production engineering, as well as supply chain management, allows Tenon to turn designs into executable manufacturing plans, with rigorously reviewed bills of material and drawings, well specified manufacturing instructions and clear purchasing strategies.

This should allow even the most exacting customer to rely on Tenon for its manufacturing needs.

Tenon Engineering skills and knowledge apply to many industry sectors including scientific instrumentation, materials testing equipment, aviation, medical instrumentation and quality control analysis.
